2.7 How can I prevent my release from being assigned to the wrong profile on Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud?

You can add your artist profile IDs for Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud to your iGroove profile (My Profile -> Artist IDs) or directly during the release creation process.

This ensures that your release will be added to the correct profile. If no ID or an incorrect ID is provided, we cannot guarantee that the release will appear on the correct profile.

2.6 What is the difference between Release Date, TikTok Release Date, Facebook/Instagram Release Date, Pre-Sale Date and Original Release Date?

Release Date: From this date on, your release will be available for streaming and can be purchased from download shops.

TikTok Release Date: Here you can define when a snippet of your song will be available in TikTok’s library. This gives you the opportunity to promote the song by making a snippet available before the official release.

Facebook/Instagram Release Date: Set the date when the song should be available on Instagram and Facebook. Note: Unlike TikTok, the entire song is available here, not just a snippet!

Pre-Sale Date: This is the date when your release is available for purchase in download shops before the official release date. It helps you collect important sales for the first chart week.

Original Release Date: If you are adding a release that was released in the past, you can enter the original release date here. With the Release Date, you define when the release should be available, and with the Original Release Date, you ensure that the release is stored with the correct date on Spotify and other shops and that the order of your releases is correct.

2.4 Can I make my release available for pre-orders?

Yes, you can make your release available for pre-orders. When you create a release in your account, you can specify a pre-order date. Starting from this date, customers can pre-order the release and it will be made available to them on the release date.

In addition, iGroove offers the option of pre-saves on the streaming services Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer (see 2.4).

2.2 Is my release a single, an EP, or an album?

Stores differentiate between “single,” “EP,” and “album” based on the number of tracks. Unfortunately, there is no uniform regulation across all stores. However, for releases distributed through iGroove, the following guidelines apply:

• 1-2 songs = single
• 3-7 songs = EP
• 8+ songs = album

Note that an album can include a maximum of 100 songs.

2.1 What do I need to distribute my songs?

You need a cover image and the audio files.

The following formats are required:

• Songs as WAV files in 16Bit or 24Bit and 44.1kHz (all audio files will be converted to 16Bit)
• Cover as a JPG file with at least 3000 x 3000 pixels
