Advances are regularly possible with a participation of iGroove of at least 14% and a release evaluation period of at least one year.

Final conditions are flexible and can be chosen by the artists themselves within a given framework. Artists can decide which songs are included in the advance contract, and whether they prefer a shorter term with a lower advance for maximum flexibility or a longer term with a higher advance payment, typically.

There is no obligation to transfer a specific number of catalog releases to us. However, your advance will generally be higher the more releases you transfer to us.

As an existing customer, you can also apply for an advance payment for an upcoming project. This will be evaluated and paid independently of your back catalog. However, if you transfer your back catalog, you have the chance to receive additional funds.

To distribute your releases through iGroove and apply for an advance, you must own the necessary distribution rights.

For both catalog recordings and upcoming releases, check the contractual situation for the corresponding releases. If obligations to another party still exist, you must clarify this situation in advance. Violating these obligations can have serious (legal) consequences for you as an artist and for us as a distributor. After a thorough examination, we provide advances for both back catalogs and upcoming projects. Combining both can even lead to a larger financial cushion.

Existing customers can apply for an advance directly through their account. However, if you don’t have an account with us, you can still request a non-binding calculation of the market value of your music (back catalog) here.

To receive an advance from iGroove, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the necessary rights to your music. Additionally, the calculated advance amount must be higher than EUR 1,000.
